On Free Device Driver Development
By Amanda McPherson - February 13, 2007 - 4:03pm
There’s been lots of talk about Greg K-H’s post on device driver development and the Linux Foundation’s assitance through the NDA program. We think this is a great program and a great example of how the LF wants to work with the community to improve Linux. Greg does a great job explaining it in his post and Q&A.
We’re here to help assist with the legal stuff so companies feel comfortable getting free device driver development, or as Greg states the LF: ” provides the legal framework where a company can interact with a member of the kernel community in order to properly assure that all needed NDA requirements are fulfilled.”
