SAN FRANCISCO — June 8, 201 Cloud Foundry Foundation, home of the industry-standard platform for cloud applications, today announced Google will host a Machine Learning and Big Data track at the Cloud Foundry Summit Silicon Valley. Google is also a Platinum sponsor of the Cloud Foundry Summit, which runs June 13-15 in Santa Clara.

Cloud Foundry Summit Silicon Valley is the summer’s biggest event for enterprise application developers. Attendees will also have access to the new Cloud Foundry Developer Certification (CFDC) at Summit. Performance-based, community-based and independent of any distribution vendor, Cloud Foundry Developer Certification is the guaranteed way to demonstrate cloud skills and allow developers to be highly productive while working on top of Cloud Foundry. Since announcing the program in March 2017, more than 5,000 developers have been trained in just three months.

Attendees will join other developers and CIOs to gain first-hand access to Cloud Foundry roadmaps, training and tutorials, and to see how others are using Cloud Foundry to support continuous innovation and application portability. This year, more than 3,000 attendees are expected to attend. Last year’s event showcased information from innovators and technical leaders at companies including Allstate, Comcast, Volkswagen and others. The Summit will host several breakout sessions including those that focus on Cloud Foundry core updates from project leads, Cloud Foundry experiments and developer community tracks.

“Machine Learning and Big Data are areas of growing interest in our community,” said Abby Kearns, Executive Director, Cloud Foundry Foundation. “Who better than Google, a leader in both, to share insights and best practices in this quickly evolving space. We are thrilled to have them sponsoring these topics at the largest cloud-native developer event this year.”

Cloud Foundry is an open source technology backed by the largest technology companies in the world, including Cisco, Dell EMC, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Google, IBM, Pivotal, SAP and SUSE, and is being used by leaders in manufacturing, telecommunications and financial services. Only Cloud Foundry delivers the velocity needed to continuously deliver apps at the speed of business. Cloud Foundry’s container-based architecture runs apps in any language on your choice of cloud — Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, OpenStack, VMware vSphere, SoftLayer and more. With a robust services ecosystem and simple integration with existing technologies, Cloud Foundry is the modern standard for mission critical apps for global organizations.

Developers can get the Cloud Foundry for Developers course for just $1 when purchasing the exam at regular price — a savings of almost $500. This offer has been extended due to popularity, ending Friday, June 23, at midnight P.S.T. Code: BLASTOFF https://identity.linuxfoundation.org/pid/648
