TOKYO, April 25, 2013 – The Linux Foundation, the nonprofit organization dedicated to accelerating the growth of Linux, today announced the keynote speakers for Japan’s premier Linux and open source events, LinuxCon, CloudOpen and this spring’s Automotive Linux Summit.
The Automotive Linux Summit takes place May 27-28, 2013 and is immediately followed by LinuxCon Japan and CloudOpen Japan on May 29-31, 2013. All events will be hosted at the Chinzan-so Hotel & Conference Center in Tokyo, Japan.
LinuxCon Japan is the premiere Linux conference in Asia that brings together a unique blend of core developers, administrators, users, community managers and industry experts. It is designed to encourage collaboration and support future interaction between Japan and other Asia Pacific countries and the rest of the global Linux community.
In 2012, The Linux Foundation introduced a new annual technical conference, CloudOpen, designed to provide a collaboration and education space to advance the open cloud. This year for the first time, CloudOpen Japan will take place and will celebrate and explore the open source projects, technologies and companies who make up the cloud. CloudOpen Japan brings together the open source projects, products and companies that are driving the cloud and big data ecosystems today, along with best practices from the world of traditional open source. Both LinuxCon Japan and CloudOpen Japan are included in one registration fee for attendees.
The Automotive Linux Summit Spring event will bring together the most innovative minds from the automotive industry and open source communities, including automotive systems engineers, Linux experts, R&D managers, business executives, open source licensing and compliance specialists and community developers. The Automotive Linux Summit will deliver top-notch speaking talent from across Japan, Asia and the entire globe, innovative and abundant program content, and a wide variety of opportunities to connect with peers.
