Linux Foundation Announces Keynote and Session Lineup for MesosCon - Linux Foundation

Users and developers in the Apache Mesos™ community will gather to share and learn about Mesos and related technologies

SAN FRANCISCO, April 14, 2016The Linux Foundation, the nonprofit organization enabling mass innovation through open source, today announced the lineup of keynote speakers and educational sessions for MesosCon, taking place June 1-2 in Denver, Colorado.

MesosCon North America is an annual conference organized by the Apache Mesos community, bringing together users and developers to share and learn about the project and its growing ecosystem. The conference features two days of sessions to learn more about the Mesos core, an ecosystem developed around the project, and related technologies. The program will include workshops to get started with Mesos, keynote speakers from industry leaders, and sessions led by adopters and contributors.

The keynote speakers headlining the event are:

  • Dr. Ken Birman, N. Rama Rao Professor of Computer Science, Cornell University

  • Matei Zaharia, CTO, Databricks,  creator of Apache Spark, Assistant Professor of Computer Science, MIT

Event highlights include:

  • 50+ Sessions covering security, external storage, advanced performance features, and more

  • Talks from companies deploying Mesos  – including Netflix, Uber, Twitter and others

  • A track dedicated to frameworks

  • Plenty of added learning & collaboration opportunities through an evening reception, sponsor technical showcase, and Cisco-sponsored hackathon.
