Expanding interest in the Foundation across sectors, including automotive, security and networking fuels future innovation in eBPF technology

SAN FRANCISCO – July 23, 2026 – The eBPF Foundation, which advances eBPF’s upstream development and promotes its secure adoption across platforms, today announced new members and appointees to the eBPF Governing Board, signaling significant growth for the community. The Foundation welcomes Meta as a Platinum Member and Toyota as a Silver Member.

The eBPF Foundation's growing membership across industries and use cases demonstrates the critical value of safely reprogramming the kernel,” said Bill Mulligan, governing board chair at the eBPF Foundation. “These new investments will sustain eBPF's innovation across everything from hyperscale clouds to embedded environments and position the technology to disrupt hundreds of billions of dollars in enterprise software and hardware spend. With these commitments, our community will continue to focus on advancing upstream development, promoting broader adoption, and enhancing eBPF's long term security and reliability."
