Ant Group, Gates Foundation, MongoDB, Nutanix, Royal Bank of Canada, Vercel, and Vultr join as Gold Members, reflecting growing demand for open, trusted standards for agentic AI.
Summary
- AAIF has reached 305 members in under a year since its launch in December 2025.
- 60 new member organizations have joined this quarter, including Ant Group, Gates Foundation, MongoDB, Nutanix, Royal Bank of Canada, Vercel, and Vultr as Gold Members.
- Announced at AGNTCon + MCPCon North America, the quarterly update brings new perspectives to the community advancing open, interoperable agentic AI.
The new members include a global philanthropy, a major Canadian bank and leading data and infrastructure providers, alongside security, AI governance and developer tooling companies, and research institutions. Their participation brings AAIF’s work closer to the environments where agents are being deployed and the people who depend on them.
As agents begin to act on behalf of organizations by accessing data, executing transactions, and working with other agents, shared approaches to interoperability, security, and governance become immediate priorities. AAIF gives enterprises, developers and researchers a neutral setting to work through those requirements together.
“When financial institutions and philanthropies are working alongside security startups and data companies, agents are no longer a developer experiment. They’re becoming institutional infrastructure,” said Mazin Gilbert, Executive Director of the Agentic AI Foundation. “These organizations are asking how agents authenticate, how their actions are verified, and who is accountable when one acts on their behalf. Open standards are how we answer those questions together, in the open.”
The announcement coincides with AGNTCon + MCPCon North America, taking place October 22-23 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center. The conference brings the open agentic AI community together to share implementation experience, discuss common challenges and advance approaches to building, securing and operating AI agents.

Supporting Quotes
“Ant Group has always been committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology to make everyday services—from finance and payments to healthcare—accessible to all. This vision drives our AI Lab, InclusionAI, with the mission of "AI built by everyone, for everyone." As AI agents bring frontier LLM capabilities into real-world applications, we believe open community consensus is essential to ensuring they reliably serve everyone. Joining the Agentic AI Foundation enables us to collaborate more closely with the global community to make this a reality.” – Zhengyu He, CTO, Ant Group
"The standards being developed today will determine whether AI actually works for the billions of people the Gates Foundation aims to serve in underserved communities and low-income countries. We're joining AAIF because getting this right requires building with equity from the start so this technology can truly transform lives and livelihoods everywhere." – Matt Vasey, Senior Advisor, Gates Foundation
“As AI agents move into production, developers need to know they can connect to the tools and data they need without compromising security or getting locked into one vendor. MongoDB is joining the Linux Foundation’s Agentic AI Foundation to help shape open standards that make that possible.” – Ben Cefalo, Chief Product Officer, MongoDB
“Autonomous multiagent swarms cannot be governed in pieces. Managing long-running execution across sovereign boundaries demands visibility across the full stack—from underlying infrastructure and models to execution harnesses and meta-orchestration. We are joining AAIF to participate in the discussions about building community-driven standards that align safety, predictable tokenomics, and coordinated governance, ensuring enterprises scale interoperable agent ecosystems while retaining absolute ownership of their intelligence.” – Debo Dutta, Chief AI Officer, Nutanix
"As agentic AI has become fundamental to financial services, the industry needs shared standards that ensure security, interoperability, and trust at scale. By joining the Agentic AI Foundation, RBC is advancing our commitment to shaping the open-source standards that will define how agents authenticate, transact, and operate responsibly across the financial ecosystem. We're excited to collaborate with industry leaders to build the governance frameworks and technical infrastructure that will unlock agentic AI's potential while maintaining the accountability and compliance rigor our industry demands." – Michael Jodha, VP, AI Architecture, Tools, Innovation, RBC AI Group
“Agents, like developers, need choice to do their best work. Start with the harness: any harness can deploy to Vercel and any harness can be deployed to Vercel. Plus, agents on Vercel reach hundreds of models and thousands of integrations. That works because the protocols are open. We’re joining the Agentic AI Foundation because standards like AGENTS.md should belong to everyone building, not any single platform.” – Malte Ubl, Chief Technology Officer, Vercel
"Agentic AI needs more than models and GPUs. It requires an entire infrastructure stack—from CPUs and GPUs to Kubernetes, networking, storage, and open protocols that connect agents with tools and data. By joining the Agentic AI Foundation as a Gold Member, Vultr is reinforcing its commitment to open standards that enable these technologies to work together, giving developers greater choice and enterprises the flexibility to deploy agentic AI in production." – Kevin Cochrane, Chief Marketing Officer, Vultr
