openIDL Welcomes Perr&Knight as a New Member, Strengthening Industry Collaboration on Data Standards

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., February 18, 2026 — openIDL, an open source project under the Linux Foundation dedicated to modernizing and standardizing insurance data, recently welcomed Perr&Knight as the newest member of its growing ecosystem. As one of the insurance industry’s leading actuarial consulting and technology firms, Perr&Knight offers extensive experience across key areas such as data management, regulatory reporting, actuarial services, and product development.

openIDS, an initiative under openIDL, is designed to improve regulatory reporting, streamline data exchange, and accelerate innovation. openIDS provides a common framework that enables insurers, regulators, and partners to share information efficiently and securely. This collaborative effort brings together carriers, regulators, data partners, and technology leaders to define shared data models that improve insurance reporting, analytics, and compliance — while allowing stakeholders to determine the technology used to transfer the data.

Introduced in November 2025, the openIDS Homeowners Standard v.1.0 establishes a unified, interoperable framework to reduce reporting friction, improve regulatory compliance, and accelerate innovation across the insurance ecosystem. Perr&Knight joins AAIS, Cloverleaf Analytics and reThought Flood as openIDL members collaborating together to standardize insurance data.
