Soumith Chintala, PyTorch Lead Maintainer, AI Researcher | Meta
Soumith Chintala is a researcher in AI, currently at Meta. Soumith is well known for creating and leading PyTorch, a widely used AI framework. Soumith has published widely on high-performance machine learning systems, generative models and computer vision algorithms. He holds a Masters in Computer Science from NYU, and spent time in Yann LeCun’s NYU lab building deep learning models for robotics, pedestrian detection, natural image OCR, depth-images among others.
Dr. Ibrahim Haddad, Executive Director, LF AI & Data Foundation and Pytorch foundation
Dr. Ibrahim Haddad is Vice President of Strategic Programs at the Linux Foundation, where he collaborates with the largest technology companies and open source projects. Haddad leads the PyTorch Foundation and LF AI & Data Foundation that support and sustain development and innovation in open source artificial intelligence and data. Throughout his career, Haddad held executive and portfolio management roles at Samsung Electronics, Ericsson Research, the Open Source Development Labs, Motorola, Palm, and Hewlett-Packard. He graduated with Honors from Concordia University (Montréal, Canada) with a Ph.D. in Computer Science. Haddad is fluent in Arabic, English, and French.
