Standardizing DLT Interoperation: Implementing IETF Secure Asset Transfer Protocol in Hyperledger Cacti

In this four (4) hour workshop, participants will delve into the realm of blockchain and distributed ledger technology (DLT) interoperation by exploring the implementation of the IETF Secure Asset Transfer Protocol (SATP) within Hyperledger Cacti. The workshop will provide a comprehensive understanding of the concepts, architecture, and practical implementation aspects involved in standardizing the transfer of digital assets between diverse blockchain networks.

  • Introduction to Hyperledger Cacti: Participants will gain insights into the functionality and architecture of Hyperledger Cacti, a platform facilitating digital asset transfers between different blockchain and DLT networks.
  • Overview of SATP: A detailed examination of the Secure Asset Transfer Protocol (SATP) developed under the auspices of the IETF. Participants will understand the significance of SATP in enabling seamless asset transfers between peer gateways across disparate networks.
  • Integration of SATP with Cacti: The workshop will focus on the implementation of the SATP draft specifications within the Hyperledger Cacti framework.
  • Demonstration of Asset Transfers: Practical demonstrations will showcase secure digital asset transfers using SATP within the Hyperledger Cacti environment. Participants will observe sample protocols in action and gain hands-on experience in executing cross-network asset transfers.
