The x402 Foundation

Enabling Universal Autonomous Commerce

Building the Global, Internet-Native Payment Protocol

The x402 Foundation is being established as a neutral, industry-led home for the x402 standard. Our mission is to foster the development and widespread adoption of a payment protocol purpose-built for the future of automated, machine-to-machine (M2M) transactions.

By providing universal support for advanced payment transactions, the x402 standard aims to create a frictionless, internet-native environment for global commerce.

Foundation Launching Soon

The x402 Foundation is currently in its formation phase. We expect to officially begin operations and seat our Governing Board in the coming weeks.

We invite organizations across the payments, financial infrastructure, cloud, and commerce sectors to join us in shaping this essential layer of the internet economy.
