Download Report

Abstract

Open source is a dominant force in the global digital economy, and as software continues to define industries, open source software plays a critical role.

While open source is a truly global phenomenon, regional dynamics are at play.

In this inaugural, geographically-focused study, the Linux Foundation and partners examine the priorities and challenges of open source specific to Europe.

World of Open Source: Europe Spotlight 2022 describes the “state of open source” across the European continent and builds a comprehensive picture by examining the current activity levels through consumption and contribution, inhibitors, motivators, and opportunities.
