The 2025 State of Open Source in Financial Services

Download Report
LF Research, FINOS, GitHub, and Scott Logic have partnered to deliver the fifth annual State of Open Source in Financial Services report! The study features findings from a survey fielded in the financial services community earlier this year as well as data analysis from GitHub. Insights indicate the growing maturity and value of open source in the industry, while a lack of clear ROI and licensing concerns are impeding open source contribution. Many are aware of the large GenAI opportunity, and some are already seeing returns on their investments.
